Works begin on Aureus Primary School

This week the construction of the second primary school at GWP has commenced.

The school will be called ‘Aureus Primary School' (formerly Chalk Hill Primary School and will offer places for up to 450 pupils aged 3-11 years. It is planned to accommodate two forms of entry and include nursery facilities. The completed school will look to open its doors in September 2018.

The school will be located in the heart of the Southern Neighbourhood, in close proximity to the Southern Neighbourhood Centre Square. The location of this development is detailed on the Masterplan tab on this website.

Oxfordshire County Council have appointed Kier to design and build this primary school. This is Kier's second school project at GWP, having built the Aureus Secondary School in the District Neighbourhood. 

The plans below give an indication of the general layout of the school site, and how the building will be arranged.
